gurggling exhaust after backfire

I already did a search for this and couldnt find what i was looking for, but today i was driving my car to the gas station and i wasn't pushing it very hard at all, but when i downshifted to 2nd to slow down for a light it backfired 3 times real quick. it usually backfires when letting off the throttle like always, but 3 times seemed a little extreme, so i went to the store, left it running and when i got home and let it idle to cool down a little bit before shutting it off it sounded like there was a gurggling sound in the exhaust. i searched but only found boiling sound under the hood, and there was no sound under the hood. any ideas?

"Gurgling" is, IMO, what the engine sounds like when decelerating and (as normal under some conditions) only one rotor is getting fuel. Maybe you have a plug or other ignition problem, accounting both for the backfires and the gurgling sound (running on one rotor or 3 of the 4 plugs) at idle.
