Guess the outcome of this race please!!

Ok guys...Im really gonna need yalls input on this one...My buddy has a 1999 Trans Am with the LS1 with an automatic behind it...His mods are exhaust, slp ram air lid, and some nittos on the back...

My 1994 Rx-7 is 5-speed with Greddy Intake, ACT prolite flywheel, and a Spec 2 clutch...

This is a HUGE rivalry...He has been talking smack for weeks now ( and I have been talkin some smack right back ) Now im really gonna feel like a complete dumbass if he outruns me...So I wanna get some oppinions befor I run him...So what do you guys think? Do I need more mods? If so what mods should I be doing next to smoke this guy?

If anyone has been in the same boat, please share the outcome so I can get a heads up on the situation...I will let you guys know the outcome as soon as it goes down ( most likely in the next 48 hours) Thanks guys!!!

My brother has a WS6, and it's pretty fast. What you have to consider is those cars are built for drag racing, RX-7 are not. So based on the limited mods you have, I think he might get you. But as soon as his Trans Am has to turn, he's screwed.

Put a down pipe and a cat back on then pray for a good launch. And some nice tires couldnt hurt.

Ya they are quick. With those mdos I think you will most likely lose. Get a few more mods. Downpipe and catback should get you pretty even or a bit faster. If you go with full exhaust, and a tuned ecu you will eat him.

if you are a good driver you can take him with those mods. my buddy has a manual 2002 ws6 and he had intake, full exhaust and cams. 1st time he ran was a 14.2 then i believe he was able to get it down to 13.0-13.2 area. just to give you a baseline, when my car was stock. i ran a 13.7 with 245 t1-s' in the rear with 1.8 60' time.

I think you will lose with just an intake and flywheel. Get a downpipe and catback and then you might stand a chance.

You should replace those foam GReddy filters with a couple of K&Ns. The K&Ns will breathe better.
