Guage problem

I just installed 4 new guages into my FD. a new boost,air/fuel,voltage, and water temp. all are auto meter cobalt. they all work great while my headlights are off. i wire them all according to the instructions but when i turn on my headlights the boost and voltage guages freeze in the position they are in. they will not work again untill i turn the car off and start it with the lights off. all of the guages illuminate. any ideas on what may be the problem?

i wired the boost and vaccume guage off the same key-on wire and same dash lighting wire. they both freeze when i turn on my head lights. i wired the water temp and air fuel off a diffrent key-on but same dash light wire as the other 2. the water temp and air fuel work great with or without the headlights on.
