Grounded the alternator- car won't start
Yes, I know, always remove the battery cable before working on the car, but in my haste to (once again) take the UIM off to diagnose my continuing rich running problem, I forgot to do it. When removing the alternator, I accidentally grounded one of the leads.
When I put it all back together (I think the problem with the richness was a crimped fuel return line causing a restriction and higher fuel pressure....I hope!), when I went to start the car, I had no juice. When I grounded the alternator lead, I blew the main fuse. When I replaced that, the car now cranks, the windows work, the headlights too. But there's no readout on my commander for the PFC, and the car will not start.
Tell me I haven't really screwed up the car. Have I messed up the PFC?
