Ground Wire upgrades for Relocated Battery...who has done it?
Hey guys!!!~~~ I relocated my battery in the rear but I want to put ground wires to get better ground~~ duh.... but anyways... has anyone done a ground wire job for their relocated battery?? The ones that they sell on HKS or Ebay are ground wire that hook up to the negative battery terminal when the battery is in the engine bay.... so I can't do that anymore....
Any suggestions???

Those "circle earth" kits sold by HKS and other companies are based on an electrically sound principal, it's best to have a common ground for all your sensors and devices. For instance, if your ECU was looking for a 0-5V signal from the MAP sensor, and the MAP sensor was sending a signal of 0.3V-5.3V because the ground wasn't exactly the same, the ECU is going to think it's seeing a different level of boost than the MAP sensor was intending to send. The 'ground wire kits' are connecting various ground locations together, for a more uniform ground between devices. Your car might or might not benefit from a common ground kit, that's a different matter altogether.
Since it would be impractical to connect all your devices to the battery, you might just want to connect them to a common point on the chassis of the car instead. Install the kit as if you had the battery there, but ground to the chassis instead of the (-) terminal of the battery.
