Greedy Pully Kit

Just got the Greddy pully kit and want to install it. I did a search and didn't really find anything. Does anyone have any tips before I start this? Do I need to get block off plates for the air pump if I want to remove it? Anything will help, Thanks

If you don't want to take the time to install the block-off plates, you can just buy some rubber caps that fit on the end of the hard lines that attach to the manifold. Rob Robinette has a write-up on his site about this way of doing that. http://www.robrobinette.com/air_pump.htm

its easy man theres really no help to give. unbolt them and put the new ones on, if your doing the MAIN pulley then yea you need to take your time but I don't believe the Greddy kit is the main pulley. You can leave the airpump on the car if you want and just run the caps, but your wasting about 25 lbs of weight there.

If you don't have air tools then I suggest taking the alternator off the car and to a shop that can take the old one off and put the new one on. The water pump pulley is easy, just use the allen wrench that came with the kit, there should be 4 bolts, IIRC.

its mandatory to remove the airpump with this kit.

That is not true. I have used my air pump the last four years for emissions. I unplug the airpump and use a shorter belt normally. But when the time comes I put a larger belt on and plug it in.
