greddy smic install question

ok i did a search but i couldn't find anything

here's my question:

Do i have to cut the battery tray when i install the greddy SMIC?

Problem:
the intercooler is a bit too wide and one side hits the battery tray and the other hits the radiator hose (upper) so i guess i have to move the intercooler slightly towards the battery?

Sounds more like you are talking about a front mount. there are no install issues on the stock mount. it will fit with the stock battery, intake box, elbow, duct, etc. There are lots of engine pictures if you try the search again.

I dunno about that.
When I had a greddy SMIC i definitely had to alter the lower portion of the battery tray. It has nubs on the side that I had to dremel off.

I wish I had pictures but I don't think I have any that show anything that low.

thanks for the help guys

i just shaved off the nubs from the side of the battery tray
and drilled a new hole for the intercooler bracket (i didn't like the fact that the pipes rubbed on the radiator hose.

It "rubs" on the radiator hose, but since the Greddy SMIC has tabs and actually mounts somewhat solidly to the engine bay, it isn't a problem. I've had my Greddy in the same spot for 5 years without any issues.
