Well I searched and the few good posts that described how to do this all were old and had pictures not available anymore.

Does anyone know or have pictures or a write up on a Greddy SMIC install?

It's a fairly straightforward operation: remove stock IC and piping, install Greddy in its place. Your biggest concerns will be installing all the couplers, and fabricating some sort of air duct for the IC, as the stock unit won't fit, and all Greddy includes is a ridiculous piece of sheet metal as a replacement.

Put a light coat of grease inside the couplers so that they slide onto IC piping easier, and don't tighten anything until you finish installing all of them. Install the intake side first, as you'll need to muscle all the couplers together. You will need to remove the throttle body elbow to make installation of the other side easier, and to avoid damaging the elbow, as it's made from plastic.

As far as an IC intake duct, your best bet is to find or order a Pettit or PFS SMIC duct, and trim to fit. As a temporary measure, you can use rubber floor mat cut to fit the sections of the stock duct that must be trimmed to fit the Greddy IC, and fasten them with pop rivets.

The Greddy SMIC was made as a stock replacement. The stock duct does fit. It won't be air tight or flush but neither will the Pettit duct. The only reason I used the Pettit was because my stock one was broken in peices and the Ptttit was a cheaper and easier alternative. The metal duct cover would fit over the OEM duct most likely to cover the hole if you don't put back the crossover airpipe tunnel that sends air to the intake box. There is only one bracket and screw that holds it down. The larger SMIC's don't have any.

The stock air duct will fit, but you need to trim off some of upper edges of the duct to fit the Greddy IC anyway, which is far thicker and sits at a different angle than the stock IC. If you leave the stock intake crossover to the airbox, you'll need to trim that as well, as it will have clearance problems with the Greddy's thicker size; I got rid of the stock intake crossover duct, as it's not only restrictive, but I would have had to trim off quite a bit (resulting in fabrication to seal up the hole) to get it to fit properly.

Sealing a Pettit or PFS air duct will be easier than trying to seal the stock duct, which will have a lot cracks and crevices to seal since it was made to bolt up to the stock IC.

Yeah I knew I needed to pick up a duct, but thanks for the detailed info.
And I assume PFS or Pettit will just sell me a duct if I call correct?

I don't know if they still make the pettit duct, but its worth a try. And yes they should sell you just the duct if you request it I believe.
