Greddy emanage any good?
seems like everyone is either running a power FC, aftermarket ecu like pettit or m2, or they have a full blown standalone. Is the Greddy emenage any good with the optional software that allows you to fine tune with a laptop? Is it suitable to use with larger injectors?

fart on a friends head!!!
for the price you spend on what is still a piggyback. . . that is if you get all the goodies that make it nice. . . you might as well get a powerfc w/datalogit.

I'm a big fan of the E-manage - hell, I run the E-manage mailing list and wrote the FAQ for the E-manage .
But, unforunately, it just doesn't work well with the FD. The fact that the FD uses the MAP sensor for fuel adjustment and for determination of fuel cut is what kills it. You can hack around that with the E-manage, but you end up with just that - a hack.
Considering how VERY reasonably priced the PowerFC is, how powerful it is, how easy to install it is, and how well it works, IMHO that is THE way to go.
The only application I could see for the E-manage would be to fine-tune a chipped stock ECU, like a Pettit or M2 ECU. Even then, a Super-AFC could do 90% of the work for cheaper, and an E-manage setup and a chipped ECU would be dangerously close to PowerFC price range.
Some cars the E-manage works well in, some it doesn't. The FD is just not a good application.

I feel the power fc is the one of the best. It is priced right compared to other stand alones and if purchased with the commander you get to monitor important info like, water temp, air temp, actual engine speed, injector duty, and a ton of other stuff. Do it once and do it right.

I also have a power FC. I got it for a cheap deal at Rotary Extreme because it was one of the monthly specials. It was just for a little bit more than the E-manage. And we're talking about a stand alone. An e-manage is a pigyback unit meaning it can only be tuned on the dyno. It also only has standard features of a piggyback ecu where as more specific ecu's such as M2 or pettit are meant for the FD. Along with Dale, I personally think that the E-manage is better off with other cars such as honda, acuras, blah blah. Take note that tuning the FD is alot more different than tuning a honda.
