Is the greddy air pump removal kit safe?
There is a local guy here who had eliminated his air pump. He didnt buy a pulley kit and just had a shorter belt. It looked like there was not much contact area for the belt on the water pump pulley. This seems to be similiar to how the greddy pulley kit works too. This makes me kind of nervous. I know that there are other options like pineapple's kit that includes an idler pulley too. What do you guys think about this? Thanks

if u want a cheap greddy kit i mean instead of paying 70+for it i went to ebay n got the pulleys n went to n auto part store n got the belt.. pulleys were 30$ with shipping n 17 for the belt.. i mean iv had no trouble with this u can experiment n do it that way iif u want
The Greddy Kit adds a larger waterpump pulley to increase the contact with the belt when removing the airpump. That's it's purpose. The idler pulley is a good idea, but the Greddy kit works just fine.
