Got somthing new to go w/ my FD!!! ***PICS***

Say Hi to my new daily driver.

Probally should have gone in the Lounge BUT... I mostly only post in here anyways.

I picked it up last night... got there at about 6... got out about 10pm...

Finally got rid of my POS daily driver (02 Hyundia Accent) and got myself what I've wanted for a bit....

I'm just breaking in the motor now so no fun runs... but I did get to take a test drive in another where I got her up over 100 before I knew it.

Only thing I'll have to get use to is the fact that when I'm going 80 it feels like 40. It's a trip... man I love this thing!

I'll get some more pictures here shortly... camera was dead and this is the only pic I got out before it died... so it's charging now...

I wish I had the green to have a rx8 for a daily, but I think I'll have to settle on an fc.

I'm Jealous

I would be even more jealous if the color of the FD and the RX8 were the same!

Good luck with them both!

Thanks...

Actually I was going to get the Titanium Gray rx8 but since I'm doing a color change on the 7 to that color I decided to go w/ the silver

Nice RX-8!

I've toyed with the idea of trading the Volvo off on one, wouldn't be a big financial hit, AND I'd get a 5 year newer car to boot.

I STILL have yet to see one in the color I'd most desire, that cool green that they have. I've seen silver, red, and yellow ones, but no green.

Anyways, congratulations on your new ride, may it give you many, many trouble free miles.

Please share your thought on this. I am trying to convince one of my employees to get an RX-8!

Ya know... I honestly will have a much better picture of this when I get my FD back on the road. Off the bat tho... I have to say that the 8 rides on rails...

I may not be taking it up in the high rpm's because of break in but I'll still take those corners and give it the gas. The seats hold you in like no other... I absolutly LOVE the cloth seats... they are SOOOOoooooooooo nice!

I will definatly post a better comparison once I have broke in the 8's motor and my 7 is back on the road

As for performance... well come on. My FD is a better performance car... I'm additcted to boost but I have to admit... when I took the test drive in the 8 and was shifting at 9k... this thing has a TON of power a pull! I was extreamly impressed. It's not the boost feel... but it is not lacking (in my book).

Your refering to the matalic green?

They had one in the show room there w/ the brown leather.

Honestly... I didn't like the color one bit. It's really dark and I just didn't like the matallic look on it. I couldn't stand the brown/black leather interior look either. Just not my style. It's sparkly up close tho...

It's got quite a bit more trunk room than the 7. Now... I'm speaking about a 7 w/ the bose wave in the back (thats what mine has). I think it would still have more room than the 7 even w/out the wave.

The 8 doesn't have a spare tire tho. That little black box is your "Spare Tire Kit" that comes w/ a can of fix a flat and an air compressor
Than again... I wouldn't want to see the trunk space w/ a 18" spare stuck in there.

Very pretty, I like the silver color a lot, I definitely fall into the jealous category. Someday I'll have the money, but that day is not today. Have fun with it.
