got a question for ya

in front of the UIM there is a big black box which i assume is a vacum chamber (has 2 hoses going to it on the right side). i tried blowing in the nipples and it seems that air travels freely both ways. can someone tell me what this chamber is for and if its alright if i remove it ?(just connect the two vacum hoses directly to each other). thanks

The black box is just an empty box that stores pressure/vacuum and is used when needed. If you remove that box then your turbo system will not function properly.

It is a PRESSURE chamber that stores the pressure required (8psi) to actuate the Turbo Control Valve (TCV), and Charge Relief Valve (CRV)
