all im gona say is, if you ever come into my town, and you see any biker cops, you better obey every single ******* rule in the book, hell you better jump out your damn car and help the lady crossing the street too!

because ones a major dick, and the other if you even give him so much as a hint of attitude, he will right you so many tickets they will probably arrest you and tow your car away.....i wish i was kidding

(ps: know about the first cop from personal experience, and the second from storys from a friend of his lol)

just thought i would mention this because you live in jersey, and because we were talking about how NJ has the biggest dick cops lol

Last time i was in your town with my car was probably 4 years ago when my friend lived there. Now he moved to south amboy.

Im very selective when it comes to where i cruise. I dont just hop in and go places aimlessly. I know what route im gonna take even before i leave my driveway. Some people say i have OCD lol but i dont think so.

But yeah, next weekend should be fun. Im gonna be a bit more paranoid when i approach the area where i got pulled over. lol

What Really Motivates The Highway Patrol?

I drive through Tennessee to go Autocrossing, and there are places that I tippy-toe though, Like Portland. They are really fond of cars with out of state plates, especially an "arrest me" red sports car.

I dont know how it is in new jersey but in NY you can post pone 2 or 3 times. I think that is bs, it is such a waste of taxpayers money.

Classic collectors insurance has 1000, 3000, 5000 or even unlimited pleasure driving policies. Of course the more mileage you do, the more your premium will go up. I dont know how much of a difference with unlimited with classic insurance than with a regular company like geico etc.

Allstate even has a classic insurance thing now. My dad just did his 82 toyota pickup. Dude came to the house and took pics. Although i dont know what his mileage plan was. He drives about 800 miles a year. About the same as i do in the FD LOL

Well actually im up to 850 miles YTD so far and its not even august yet. Maybe new all time record most miles in a year for my FD and me?? We shall see.

Ill try to crack 1500 miles by the end of the year

i wonder how much the unlimited policy is...hmmm

I didnt check the classic collectors price but hagerty, for 1500 mile/year limit was 800 bucks a year which is REALLY cheap. ONly reason why i dont have it is because i dont have an enclosed garage. I just have a DEEP driveway with a locked gate but they didnt accept that

Im gonna inquire on the classic collectors.

That or wait til i sell my current house and buy my next house with a garage but that wont be for years from now.

My dad got a ticket here in Wa a few years back. It was issued a few counties over, and the court was a good 2 hr drive 1 way. My dad went up to the court on the date of his appearance to fight the ticket. The cop never showed, and my dad was given a new date. This happened another two times before the judge finally threw out the case. Such bs that they can make you drive that far out of your way, only to be stiffed...3 seperate times. Makes you feel all warm and fuzzy about law enforcement.

Every memorial Day we have the "Rolling Thunder" motorcycle ride here in D.C. Hundreds if not thousands of Harley-Davidson's, most without mufflers, cruising around town and not one ticket!!

Realize this is D.C. not New Jersey, but you still have bikers riding around with straight pipes!! How many tickets are written for the noise they make??

Just wondering.

Typically, bikes have different regulations than cars. I'm not saying it's right, but in most places they are treated differently.

man that sucks! I'b be pissed.

BTW I'd had tickets thrown out because the cop was a no show. Actually this one time the cop failed to submit in his ticket to the court so when I showed up there was no record. The clerk told me I should come back and check just in case the cop submits it. I replied "no I don't think so, I signed the ticket promising to appear today, not tomorrow not next week. You need to give me something that shows proof that I've been here." Sure enough she did and I never came back.

Update:

the case got dismissed after I provided Greddy aperwork alng with ISO 5130,which is the procedure that needs to be done to determine db levels on a vehicle. The prosecutor asked why I was fighting the ticket if there was a no point violation, and I told her that wasnt the point,it was wrongfully written without proper testing,in which she then said "ok we'll dismiss it,but I hope we don't stop you in this township again",on which I chuckled because I live less than a mile from that "township".In the end, whoever gets this kind of ticket, look up j1169 and iso5130,and fight your way out.

Good Luck all

I've received a good 7-8 exhaust tickets, and no front plates. Generally if I'm speeding they can't get a good reading so they just stick me with an exhaust ticket. Here if you have exhaust other than factory it's illegal, regardless of how loud it is. Which is odd because we don't even have emission testing.

Yeah, that was the reason why i went with the PFS catback, because it "looks like stock". I could have went RB dual but i only like the RB dual old style.

If i had a choice to run any exhaust, without having to worry about harassment, i would have had the greddy TI installed WAYYYYY back in the day.

Well my car looks stock, it just has wheels and dropped and my exhaust looks stock but they still pulled me over.

Basically, cops can do whatever they want, they are the law. Of course you can always fight if they abuse their authority but the harassment will NEVER stop.

ok uh I have got something to say.....

Alright well I'll start by saying I am a Cop here in California...and I have driven modded cars since I was 16 so here it goes.... I had been pulled over before when I was in college for loud exhaust as well as a bunch of other stuff, but Ill keep this about the exhaust...It was a Greddy exhaust and it wasn't as loud as the flow master on american muscle... cuz when I was pulled over a Chevelle stopped at the light near where I was and it drowned my car and the officer out. When I asked the cop why he didn't pull the chevelle over his response was its ok cuz its an american car. I was like WTF!!! Anyway I got in contact with Greddy and told them which model exhaust I had (Greddy is 50 state legal) but you need to have a sticker from Greddy (usually in the box when you buy it new) and have it placed on your car. If you dont have one Greddy will send you one (atleast they sent me one when I asked).

I would suggest get in contact with Greddy or a local tune shop and see if they can get you one...Or go on the internet and get their specs sheet ... also if you wanna make your case stronger get it smogged to show the Judge your car is not only in spec but will pass smog with that exhaust on there...I would NOT spend the money going out and buying a DB meter cuz those tests have to be done in a controlled environment for it to stand up in court. Just understand I am from California so the laws here may be slightly different... but here in the Vehicle Code it states ANY modification to the vehicles exhaust system to that will alter sound or flow of the exhaust system is illegal... but there are some exceptions to that. So check the states Vehicle Code and then get in contact with Greddy or local tune shop or go on the internet and get the specs and take it to court and present it to the Judge in a professional manner and reherse so your not stumbling lol... if you have any further questions just let me know... I currently own a 94 rx7 (although its not driving right now and giving me headaches lol) with a HKS cat back. Hope this helps ya figured Im a cop so I'll prolly be able to help a lil more.

OH AND TO GET ONE THING STRAIGHT WE DO NOT HAVE QUOTAS....WE GET PAID THE SAME WHETHER WE GIVE TICKETS AND TAKE PEOPLE TO JAIL OR JUST SIT AROUND AND NOT DO ANYTHING....BUT ITS YOUR TAX DOLLARS PAYIN US TO KEEP YOU SAFE SO WE DO OUR JOBS.

Sorry but thats false, at least its not like that over here.

Cops over here need to make quotas. Especially for all the OT they do.

They wanna work OT, they need the money to compensate. My next door neighbor became a cop a little over 3 years ago and this is what he told me.

So when you see cops pull you over for tint or exhaust, that means they are really looking forward to write a ticket.

Now if you were driving recklessly, then he nails you with tint and exhaust on top of that, thats a different story.

Quick Reply: Got pulled over for "loud exhaust",Greddy EVO2 exhaust question...
