that is a clean silver 7. That is one of the few FD's that i like with the 99 front end that has the front plate holder. When i first saw the image it was a little blurry, but i enlarged it and it looks very badass. Congrats and nice pick with the wheels and hood.

The question is, what is under that pretty hood of yours?

Again, thanks for all the comments guys I really appreciate it(Qball & stokedxiv lol on your dam....). As far as the Hood I will not paint it since the CF stands out (picture does no justice). Shipping was $95 and it is very functional as the heat comes out of the vent and it is very light.
The wheels center cap in CF are on there way it was out of stock at the time when I purchase the wheels thru Ryan(who was very helpful and offer excellent service) of forperformance.com.
The sideskirts from Wingswest (thru mazdatrix) fit like a glove just had to paint it and slap it on.
Hope this answer most of your questions I'll post more pictures when I get my Sparco(torino in red) seats and Type II Mazdaspeed rear wing.

Awesome looking car..........leave it alone and don't put a different wing...........it looks fantastic as is and is classy....... to me all wings are kinda ricey..... don't go there......I too would prefer the hood matching........remember, quite often "less is more".....

would love Anyone to post pics on the gunmetal interior version of these wheels...........Potatobbq can you do it?... someone said you have em......... I was pretty well set on the SSR Comps in gunmetal grey but these have possibly taken over 1st place......

btw, I like you car so much it just became my new wallpaper on desktop.........Props dude.......

Mrzumzum I dont know why I didnt think about making it my wallpaper but thanks for doing so and the advice on the wings. The only reason why I would like to get one coz the back of my car looks very plain. I think the Racing Beat type II for $390 is a steal. But anyone has suggestions or opinion pls let me know.
Here's a picture of the gun-metal version on my wheel, btw it cost me $2000 shipped(center caps & lug nuts Incl)

To answer RX7speed, it is an APEXi GTR core w/ kit from RX7Fashion before the price went up(and it is thesame one as xs-eng.)

I think the Racing Beat type II would look good as well... I'm going to be getting one as soon as I can find some time to pick one up from Racing Beat. Hehe, I know you've heard it lots of times already but that is one damn nice car...

rkj24:

I checked out the Racing Beat type II wing, and I still think your car looks better as is. To me those aggressive wings SCREAM "LOOK AT ME"........ a little too "Fast and Furious" for my taste, but what the hey, that's what makes the world go round......the way your car looks now, it'll get just as many looks, it's just more subtle and classy...........

To me, the FD has the finest lines of possibly any car I've ever seen. Your front end and side panels don't take away from that, and look damn good....... I think the wing dramatically alters the overall profile of the car...... once again, just my .02.......to me the standard spoiler is VERY needed; I don't like the lines of the car nearly as much without it, yet many do........ go figure.......btw I'm 44, so that may be a factor as well.........

Also thanks for the gunmetal pics.........LOVE those wheels...........

PotatoBBQ: Thanks for the gunmetal pics as well....... they look great on your very tight CYM.......... I know of a guy looking for one if you wanted to part with it...........

btw do you two have any opinions on quality of Volk versus SSR ? Thanks.

David

I would rethink those Torrinos dude, try checking out the Roadsters in red instead... Torrinos don't fit w/out taking the adjuster wheels off and weigh alot more than the stock. The Roadsters fit excellent in the 7, weigh under 15 #s each and are way more comfortable, and at $100 less per seat!

BTW awesome car, silver is my fav... and CF is better in person like you said!

your car is ******* awesome, it has been my new wallpaper for the past couple of days too!

did you have to cut the bumper trim at all to make it fit right with the intercooler?

I actually had the opportunity to buy one for $500 from the previous owner of the car. He never installed it because it didn't fit with the stock airbox. I liked it but there are better places to put $500. Once those places see their money then maybe it will be CF hood time for me too.
Any chance of hooking me up with the original owner of your car so that I can buy the hood from him for 500 bucks ????

what size are the wheels? any fitment issues? any rubbing?

looks great! imho, stay away from aftermarket wings for all the reasons that have already been mentioned.

BrianK, don't know who you are, but you're obviously a genius since you agree with me on the aftermarket wings..........I'm still gazing at your FD on my desktop and am firmly convinced you would be "crossing the line" towards rice-dom.........errrr, rice-dumb........

Good catch on the antenna, whoever said it....LOL....
