Got my scuff plates from pettit (pics)

shipped quickly and arrived as expected, think it was $180 w/tax+shipping.

Looks good, gotta go out and buy a drill bit to make the mounting hole. Came with instructions and hardware.

The instructions say to remove the vinyl before install, but damned if i can find any vinyl on em.

If I were you I'd remove the gold metalic stickers. They come off easily.

You shouldv'e/wouldv'e/could've gotten them from Mazdaformance for $140+ shipping & no tax (they're inTX). I've been hearing how Malloy Mazda might sell parts like this cheap too....

BTW, congrats U don't HAVE to use a drill. I just used diff sized nails to puncture the metal and progressively largen the hole

If I remember correctly, the vinyl is covering the gold RX-7 inlays.

I agree with Brentis, take the gold RX-7 out. I removed the gold letters and painted the recessed area red to match my car, and I think it looks great.

Just the lighting - they are a brush natural aluminum finish, as all factory option scuff plates are.

I've had mine for a few years now, but I didn't want to drill holes so I used 3m double stick tape and it worked perfectly. for the screw holes, I used phillips head klath tek screws but cut off the shank, and siliconed the heads over the scuff plate holes. It looks perfect, and I didnt have to drill into the fd body......

I have some that can be painted, like I did to match the interior. I have chrome ones now to match the new stuff. If anyone is interested PM Me and they are Yours for 75.00

They can not be polished only painted or powder coated becasue I lightly bead blasted them to hold the paint.
