This is the wrong forum for questions, should probably be in General discussion.

This is how i cleaned my pedals, brass brush to clean the rough surface in between the circles, then a red Scotchbrite pas to do the shiny raised surface. Night and day difference once it was done and closely matches the new pedals.

^Yep. I've used a steel brush, the same kind people use to clean up welds. That will shine up the aluminum VERY fast and easy.

I definitely recommend the brass brush! That is actually how I prep the pedals after sand blasting them. Ideally remove the pedals from the car, bring them into the kitchen when your wife isnt around, put a little soap on as lubricant and scrub with a brass brush. push hard to get into the grooves around the circles in a circular motion then lightly go back and forth to get the raised portions. I have found a steel brush can leave some scratches so use brass.

Sandblasted them in the car, lots of masking with palstic to keep the sand in place.

Yeah Here is the post i made in my worklog about it.
The finish si sandblasted pedals, with all the high areas polished. They will get polished by the foot eventually so just get them polished evenly at the start. Then i clearcoated all of them with 2K coat to make them easy to clean.

My initial plan was to remove the brake and clutch pedal from the car, and have them sandblasted to a similar finish as the ones from the groupbuy.
But, after two hours on my back in the footwell of an FD i gave up. In those two hours all i managed to get done was to remove the dead pedal and one(!) nut on the brake pedal. So its safe to say that unless your bones are made of jelly, getting the pedals out with the dash in the car is gona be a pain.

But if the pedals wont come out, ill just fix them where they are!
First i masked of the entire car with painters plastic:

Then i got myself one of them sandblasters that recirculate the sand into a bag, and does not make a huge mess.

Since the pedals are cast, not machined like the ones i bought, it was hard to get an identical finish. So in the end i settled for a matted down look and then polished the high areas. Ypu really have to get up close to see that they are not the same as the others.

The result in the end was pretty good if you ask me.

And outside with a potato-phone that cant take pictures in sunlight:

Umm, minimum effort here....I did the brass brush thing too. Must have worked...I’ve gotten way more comments/compliments on them than I ever anticipated.

Yeah, media blasting is nice but really you can get them damn near perfect just hitting them with a brush. Takes like 1 minute.
