got my first FD :) And have the first twin-issue :(

Hi guys!

This is Patrick here, from Austria I'm now 25years old and since 16 i've wanted an FD so hard, it was in my dreams since 9 years. (I also own an SA2 and an FC3S)
I've now got my degree and I'm working for 4 months now, so it was time to get an fd3s

And holy sh*t, it just was a steal! The seller told me on the phone that the car has a water seal failure, so i was prepared to rebuild it. After 22hours driving we got her at home.

I've pressurized the coolant system and -> it was only a faulty pressure cap I've made a steal, FD's are very expensive over here, i got the car for 4300USD ready to get some license plates No accidents, no rust, ~78.000km, R2 model, black, no holes in the interior 100% stock except a catback and a turbotimer.

Engine seems very strong, good oil pressure, starts everytime very fast!
Only bad points are the slipping clutch, a leaky oil pan, the paint needs a good polish and the problem described later.

I'm just so f*cking happy, you cannot imagine.

-------------------

And now here is my problem:

Sometimes the 2nd turbo does not kick in... when i apply the throttle the car pulls ok to 4500rpm, then you feel the loss of power. When i get off the throttle the car makes a very funny noise which sounds like "fuuuuuuuuuuuuuu".

I will definitly do a complete VAC job on the car in 2 weeks, but i just want to enjoy her this thursday again. Maybe someone knows this "fuuuuu" noise and can give me a hint for a quick fix?

thanks in advance guys!
Patrick

usually a disconnected vac line or faulty check valve...check your rats nest you should easily find what's wrong!

and grats on the purchase!
