I just got my second FD tonight and it's clutch pedal is very very soft compared to my old one(comparable to a Honda Civic). Also, the shifter play is very soft and loose. My old FD shifted very tight and the clutch pedal was so much firmer even w/ the stock clutch and plate.
What is the reason for this?

 

hold it in for about 20 seconds and see if it stays on the floor..
