Gorden Monsen's rx-7 in SCC

I just got my April issue of SCC and started flipping through it and saw Gordens car in there. The car looks great and I think that is a great representation of what the rx-7 is. There is absolutly no rice to his car and it is all about handling and power. Congradulation.

Gorden,

It is a four page article about your car. It goes into good depth about you and kd rotory building the car, including your tunning of your ignition and the haltec. It is a really well writen arcticle about the car, giving you a lot of credit for building the car. The title of the article is Growler, it has a four big pictures of you car with three little ones. Your car is an exact replica of what I want to do with my 93. I want it to be fast but also handle and stop on a dime. You will be very pround of this article when you get it.

As far as getting April already, I couldn't tell you why I got it so early. All I know is I didn't get december and I called and bitch, so maybe they are trying to make up for it.

Thumbs up

They put up some nice pics of your RX-7 and it was pretty well written. However, the pic of your engine shows a HKS SSBOV and they wrote a GReddy SSBOV. Anyway, congratulations on getting into a mag.

Gordon;

Congrats on your RX-7 for making in SCC. Very nice, representing what the RX-7 is all about.

SCC ALWAYS makes typos. for example, i have the July 2001 issue here in front of me, and im looking at the article on the FD. in the box where it lists the mods at the end of the article, here are some of the typos: "in-line-two-rotor"...."GReddy T-87 turbocharger" (supposed to be T-78)..."1 200cc fuel injectors" (HUH??)..."GReddy Type-R BOV" when it clearly shows an HKS SS in a pic in the article...."Racing Beat Exhaust Header" (for an FD????)..."Seiz Short Throw Shifter" (i think they mean C's)...

SCC is an awsome mag, none the less, but there are wayyy too many typos. that article alone was one out of many.

cant wait to see the new issue! my friend's car is on the cover!
