An R2 or R1 tends to get heavy use. Does the current owner have a complete set of records? Some suspension components like bushings could be worn and sometimes the front sway bar mounts have metal fatigue.

Its silver exterior and the interior is black leather. What do you think the car is worth? Also is it even safe to drive a rx-7 daily becase I hear alot of people just driving them a few times? Since his car has 5 k on the motor and turbo what do you think it can last if taken care of properly?

Sway bar mounts are CHEAP! Like $25 from Mazdacomp, and they have been upgraded (slightly) from the original version. Suspension bushings go bad on all FDs.
New motor and turbos is great. Make sure the body and interior are in good shape. Could cost alots of $$ to make them nice if they aren't already.

Test drive it, test drive a lot of FD's when deciding on one!!! You have no idea how many FD's I have test driven (every one of them being a prospective one that I might buy, I don't just hop into people's cars and screw around with them) and man it was fun and educational! (Note: I'm in Hawaii and I still went thru over 20 of them to fine mines, if you can't find at least 5 to decide between, your not even trying!!!) You also will start to automatically know if there is a problem or will be a major problem right away with the experience gained from the other test drives. 14K is a pretty good price for a 94 much less as R2.
BTW: Who installed/rebuild that engine??? If it was from a respectable dealer/mechanic and the test drive goes well, I would say go for it.
Lastly, let the guy turn off the car and see how he shuts her down, does he let it turbo time, pop hood, leave fans on? These this should be taken in to conservation.

TurboJeff is right. The cost of replacing sway bars and bushings is in the labor, not the parts, so if you plan on doing the work yourself it may not be expensive, however a shop will charge good money to do the work. Not as much as a motor or turbocharger, but maybe more than you want to shell out soon after paying $14K for the car, the insurance etc. Obviously TurboJeff has better mindreading capabilities than I do.
He is also right that RX7's in general are driven hard but my sense is, from the posts on this forum and from looking at cars being sold on www.Autotrader.com is that R1's and R2's get more than their fair share of abuse.... but, again, TurboJeff's valuable sixth sense would indicate otherwise.
One last thing. I drive my RX7 virtually every day for about 3 years and have no problems with it. Its essentially stock, so maybe that has something to do with it. I have two other cars but find the Mazda is too much fun to leave behind.

Yea, Im almst 100% he said leather. I dont think its suede. Also im looking a a 93 base new reman motor from kdr chasis has 76k on it. New tires, all reliability mods, and gauges, and a racing beat exhaust. Its montego blue with tan leather. The leather has tears in the drivers seat, also has a few small scratches in the paint. He wanted 15800 at 1st now he wants to sell it for 14k. The r2 seems like a much better deal. IS it?

As said above no R2's didn't have leather, only base's as an option and it was standard on touring's. Either it's not an R2(most probable) or it is a R2 and someone switched the suede R1-R2 interior for leather(least likely to have happened).
