going single and aem ems is true that i dont need solenoids and vacs?

helo im going single turbo and with aem ems have been told that i dont need solenoids is this true?ALSO THAT ONLY WILL USE just a few vacs but sevarl peeple have told me that i can grab the solenoid rack(rat nest) and trow it to trash i will apreciate the help since in my country there is no mmuch rotary culture

going single is a huge task, alot more is require than i think you are thinking.

Search around the stickies in the single turbo section to find out exactly what going single entails. All the information is their in excessive amounts.

thanks for the asistance let me tell you guys again that in my country there is no much info about these engines the diagram is very ilustrative but doesnt answer my question yet?i need to know if i can remove co pletely the solenoid rack and only use the pfr vacuum the wastgat vacuum map senspr etc without pluggin in the solenoids or if i have to stay varios of this solenoids.

with access to the internet you have exactly the same amout of information on these cars as most of the people in the u.s.

the diagram i showed you clearly shows exactly what hoses are needed in a single turbo setup. none of the rats nest is needed and all can be taken out, (basically if its a vacuum line and its not in that diagram, you dont need it [with single turbo]) but if your ecu is using the rats nest solenoids to control the wastegate then you will still want to use whatever solenoids those are.

Although i would reccomend getting a ball and spring mbc, or some sort of electronic boost controller to control the wastegate properly on a single setup.
