And it goes ka-put

I was driving and I lowered my speed to about 58-60, and then I decided to shift into third. My car then proceeded to lose all power then eventaully die. Alternator blew up (not literally, just sounds funny). What we figured out is that the sudden loss of power caused the sparkplugs to fire and they fired on an apex seal. So its gone for now, but it will be fixed in a few weeks.

Have you done a compression test or are you just assuming it's gone?
