getting a 94 RX7, what upgrades should I do?
I am getting a 1994 RX-7 with 88,000 miles on it next month from a friend of mine. The bank is loaning me about $4000 more than what I am paying for it, so I am going to use that money to start upgrading some stuff.
I have an non-turbo Eclipse right now that's been highly modified, but I am fairly unfamiliar with the rotary engines. What should I fix up first?

Hey Man and welcome to the rx7forum. To answer your questions fully, go to the archieve and there are tons of info there on upgrades etc. I think there used to be a sticky for newbies etc as well.
I think when it comes down to it, i'd do the regular maintance stuff first. Change out plugs, wires, fuel filter, oil, coolant, tranny fluid, diff fluid, brake fluid balh blah. Good upgrade is the downpipe as it will get rid of heat and yield some power. After that, maybe an intake kit, catback exhaust. If you have the money, getting a power FC isn't a bad idea since you'll need it sooner or later. Good Luck. But remember most important of all before any upgrade is to make sure you have a good platform/foundation to work on. So make sure the FD you have is in good working order before upgrading.

First, read link near the top of this screen (for the 3rd gen section) entitled: "Newbies/Others Please use search / Useful Links"
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...threadid=68640
That will get your started.
Also, change ALL fluids in the car. For example, you don't know how long the differential fluid has been in there.
