G'day Guys!!

Having read the buying tips for used 3rd Gen RX-7, I have learn a lot from you guys, THANKS!!

Now I found a 93 FD, with 79,000 orginal Km, the price is also right to me. I notice that there is some strange noise from the engine, but the guy told me that might be the belts or the pulley, and he said he will look after that for me (the seller is a rotary shop in Ontario). Besides, I am not that familar with the "10-8-10" boost pattern, since I am new to the turbo and rotary world, any futher advices that you guys can provide? Thanks a million!!

If the seller is a rotary shop, then you shouldn't have much to worry about, they should know what kinda shape the car is in.

You should ask them to do a boost test and a compression test before you buy.

As for the noises, what do they sound like? Well, first off, is this car stock or does it have parts on it?

Typical engine noises are: Turbo's- make a high pitch whistle...
Belts- make a squeaky sound...
Airpump- when not plugged in due to some mods on the car this makes a mooing sound...
