Gauge problems after full build
Alright I just got my car running last night after loosing an apex seal last fall. I ported the engine, rebuilt it with ALS seals, precision 6765, new fuel system, and a single turbo wiring harness. the car already had a PFC, front mount, twin power, radiator and some other supporting mods. After getting it started my gauges no longer work properly. My tach reads about 500 rpm when the PFC reads 2000, the oil pressure gauge is really weird, when the key is on pos 2 the gauge maxes out then is irradic when the car is running, the coolant temp goes between maxing out and hardly reading, the fuel gauge reads full and i dont think i have a full tank, and the odometer occasionally doesnt work. They all worked properly before. I think this is ground related, and I have been looking at the FSM but not seeing anything that stands out. I tried searching and there are plenty of people that have the same problem, but there were no answers. Please Help! I want to drive it but i dont have fans with no coolant switch and I dont feel comfortable with no oil pressure gauge on a brand new engine.
Thanks
Charlie

I did also notice that when I turn the key on, the oil pressure gauge does not move, but immediately after turning off the key the gauge maxes out for a second then back down to zero. I dont ever remember this prior to the build. Also if I turn the lights on the tach reads lower. Which grounds should I be double checking?

Just happened with mine as well. It's kind of intermittent and the cruise control goes out with it. They either both work or they both don't. I'm looking through this thread now, but I'm hoping it's just a loose connector or something simple like that. I don't really care to tear my dash apart...
