ok so i just installed my new defi gauge and controller only to find that when i press on the brakes, my gauge lights up. i also remember that the odometer and stereo dim when i pressed on the brake (before the gauge was installed). can anyone point me in the right direction here?

which wire did you tap the light source for your gauge too? you can try to disconnect it and use the ashtray light, just be sure to test it first to have the correct (-) (+) wires
