Gauge Cluster Hood... RHD vs LHD

Whelp. The sun has had it's way with my gauge cluster hood and it finally bit the dust being removed. It's in too many pieces to count.

I need to replace the gauge hood and was wondering if JDM and USDM versions were interchangeable. I know the rest of the interior bits aren't - but I had a sneaking suspicion the hood might be.

Can anyone confirm?

Does anyone have a mint 94+ textured hood they want to sell me?

Nope... Jdm are slightly bigger, hence, will not line up properly.

Actually, they ALMOST work. The 3 tabs that "pop" it into the dash are offset one way in the LHD version, the other way in the RHD version.

Also, there's an alignment pin that sticks down at the back, it's flipped to the other side as well.

I have a RHD gauge hood at my house now and did a lot of fiddling to see if it would work. You could maybe break off the tabs and Plast-Aid them back on.

I'm not surprised by any of this. It seems *really* close - but also seems silly to try and "make" that work when USDM ones do still pop up from time to time.

I suppose I could also just buy a full set of 93 plastics and strip them down and paint... decisions, decisions....
