i finished a project car and finally got to the point where i can turn the key and fire it up, i turned the key to nothing happening, no starter kicking over, lights on the guages work fine so i know it has power, i used a power tester to check if the solenoid is receiving power and it is, also when i turn the key to start, the other terminal is receiving power so i know the solenoid is working fine, but however i removed the starter and then hooked it up to a battery charger positive to the post on the solenoid that connects to the starter (not the one that connects to the bat +) and then hooked the ground up to the casing, turned the bat charger on and it spins great. i really dont know why this would happen, any help would be great. i also checked to make sure the starter was grounded and it was and i also had a jump start battery pack attatched to the battery so there would be extra power incase my battery was somewhat dead. i am just really confused, maybe i am missing one important thing to get it to work on the car but i really dont have a clue.
