Excellent driving and nice over takes. What was your top/avg speed through the track?

Another great vid, thanks Damian. Seems like the Cobra R seemed floaty or was it just the way the camera picked up the bounces from the track?

dunno, i dont look at speedo,... i really only care about laptimes, not speed.....the joliet tracks are smaller, so im guessing 130-140 and the end of the main straights...at RoadAmerica, BIR, and VIR I can get up to 150-160 top speed.

hey tim, no, Bruce's cobra R is not floaty at all, has major suspension work done, its an impressive track monster... we swapped cars once, its hooks up just fine :-) very tight...just a bit heavy for my taste :-)

On most of the sharper turns it looks like you turn in very abruptly; snapping the front of the car in hard rather than bending it in. The vid just make it look that way?

I like my rotary but them v-8 engines with straight pipes always sound mean

Now if the Cobra driver wasn't continually early apex'ing, and completely missing apexes at times, maybe he'd carry more speed through the turns. Nice lines, Damian....'cept for that early apex that launched you into the weeds.....

Nice video. I was at that same track this past summer. Very nice track, but the people who run it are ********. They were throwing a fit because of the noise the cars were throwing off. If you invite a racing series to your track, expect that they're going to be loud. Not to mention that the Nextel Cup track, flat dirt track (where open piped harley's race), and the NHRA sanctioned track are all within a 3 mile radius.
