The fun starts tonight...my first RX-7

Well,

I pick up my first RX-7 (3rd gen. MB '94, 72K miles) tonight. I'm totally pumped to begin driving and working on one of the fastest production cars on the road and IMO perhaps the best bang for buck on the road (I'll know for sure a year from now after potential maintenance costs ).

This is my and my father-in-law's project car...so it's no holds barred as we save the money...actually as I save the money...he's doin' fine for himself.

Anyway, I wanted to list what the previous owner has done "for us" and then find out what you guys think might be good to start in with after that. We're autocrossers, so that weighs somewhat into our decisions, but we want a street missle that can handle the curves also (and maybe embarass a few wannabe draggers )

Here's what we've got:

Silicon hoses
Removed coolant reservoir (separator)
All recall maintenance
Downpipe
Catback exhaust
Adjustable gas shocks
Coilovers (lower one inch I believe)
Boost guage

...and I think that's it.

What next? And glad to be aboard and with my Rex twins (the FD and my daily driver - an '02 WRX)

Peez,

-E
