This march I'm afraid I won't have enough for both fuel system and IC upgrades. Mainly because I need a new clutch and tires, so there's $1k right there. I have a J&S and a turbo timer waiting to go in and I'll probably end up with $1k more to spend in March/April. Ideas on what to get? I drag and autox. Maybe forget about fuel and IC until I can do both and get some suspension? Sway bars, tower bars, struts? That'd be a grand right there. Or get an IC and keep the stock fuel system. So just through some ideas out! thanks

 

Since you are railing on the car for extended amounts of time in lower gears and at high rpms, you will have less air flow threw the front of the car to cool the intercooler and radiator when slowing making turns etc... (if your on tight courses)... I would upgrade the intercooler and work on the cooling system... don't worry about fuel till you start making major mods. The stock fuel system can handle about 400hp...

Look at it this way if you blow the engine that's a lot of $$$ that could have bought you your suspension etc... that you won't be able to get anymore..

 

definately intercooler. You don;t want to run really high boost wihout an intercooler b/c stock won;t be able to cool air. Therfore, with no I/C you really don;t need upgraded fuel system. Ideally get booth, or I/C.

I will sell you my brand new PFS IC for cheap too. heheh

 

I'm leaning towards IC but my main concern was the injectors are running in the 80% range in duty cycle and touched 90% once. I'm running 12lbs btw. So if i stay at that boost level i'm starting to think the fuel system will be fine for at least the 9mos i'll drive the car next year, especially with the J&S helpin out. and cooling is already good...
but $1500 for the m2 medium/large...ouch!

 

I hit 94% all the time, albeit, for only a few seconds.

 

Thats another thing someone posted recently. How often are you really running that high? Not much. So I think the IC is the way to go.
Oh, and Pope John KZ1...thanks but no thanks on the PFS IC...the only PFS product I really like is his exhaust

 

yeah, the PFC SMIC is fairly large, not as big as m2 medieum, but bigger than greddy , blitz, etc. It is a little pricey but very good unit. THe reason I went with it over M2 medium is the install, it install much cleaner and looks like part of the car, the ducting on the m2 medium is shotty in my opinion. Looking back I maybe shoudl have gotten an m2 medium, but I like the red too.
