Fuel Strainer

Do we have one? ive tried searching for Strainer.. found nothing.. and if we do have one where is it located? and how do you access it? thanks

You mean a fuel filter? That's what filters the fuel out on the way to the engine.

Search and check scuderiaciriani.com - the fuel filter has been covered in depth. It's a pain in the butt to change.

no. not filter. but strainer.

i just dont know if the FD has a strainer and a filter. im having issue with High RPM hiccups. i replaced the filter im going to clean/replace the strainer if need me.. im working my way from the tank to the injectors.

Yes the FD has a "strainer." It’s located on the fuel pump. It’s on the bottom of the pump where it sucks gas.

If you have high RPM breakup, I'd moreso suspect ignition than fuel delivery.

But, yes, we do have a filter on the fuel pump, just like in that picture. It's not that hard to get to, either - just look at any writeup on changing the fuel pump out.

Thanks gents.

im replacing the coils tomorrow with a working set with 36K on them ( thanks sevensheaven). But i plan on troubleshooting all aspects of this issue.
