Fuel smell under boost solved after 5 years.
Fuel smell only under boost.
Replaced FPD - no change.
Replaced brake check valve to vacuum line - no change.
Replaced PCV valve - no change.
Replaced FP regulator - no change.
The above were over a period of 5 years.
A few days ago, I was installing 850cc into the primaries. The 550cc were replacement under warranty 5 years ago.
Guess what, there was a rubber o-ring with a rectangular cross-section that mounts up to each of the metal pipe of the primary injector housing. I looked into my hose rebuild kits from Malloy and found them. Installed one o-ring into each pipe, mounted the 850cc. No more fuel smell under boost.
Reason - damn Mazda grease monkeys never installed them in the first place. So if you're smelling fuel under boost and you ran out of things to replace, try replacing this o-ring.
