Fuel Pump Wont Cut Off Help!!!
OK guys I installed some new head light motors 2 nights ago and disconnected the battery to do it. Now put the new ones in and and go to put the positive lead back and when i do the fuel pump turns on and wont shut off. i tryed pulling the fuel pump realy that didnt do anything. so now when i drive my car the car wont turn off and have to stall it to get it to turn off and the pump still runs. anyone got any ideas on what it can be?
first when you are doing anything electrical pull the neg not the positive terminal
the fuel pump relay that is in the rectangular box in the front just controls the pump speed.
the car should still shut off even with the pump running when you turn the key off as the ecu wil stop grounding the injectors, coils etc...
look back where you were working some how the main relay must not be opening when you turn the key off
