Fuel pump resistor

If I bypass the fuel pump resistor and am running an otherwise stock fuel and engine control system.

Stock other than a walbro pump.

Will the pump overcome the FPR and cause the car to run rich?

If you are running a stock system, why do you want to bypass the resistor?
