I added a RP fuel pump early this spring. But I am getting a little popping noise during 14 pds boost.

I have a N-tech mini battery now, and I did read somewhere that the RP pump draws more current for higher pressures, Question: Is the Mini battery being over-taxed and not supplying the current?

How do I check for what could be causing the detonation?

Where's the "little popping noise" coming from?

You may just be running rich.

Detonation does sound like a popping noise, but more like a metallic popcorn popping...

Of course, at 14 PSI, your injectors are already taxed...

 

Yes it was knocking... Like popcorn too.

Odd I do not remember knocking with the Factory fuel pump at that amount of boost.

I do have a Tri-point air/fuel gauge and it says full rich at WOT.

Any ideas...
