so i was pretty sure my fuel pump was shot so i pulled it out. Hooked it up to a batter charger and it made the pumping noise. Great, wtf now. Well i decide to put it in a pail of gas to see if it pumps and i hook it up and the pump runs but it doesnt pump gas and actaully forces air out of the pickup. Rather wierd, the wires arent backwards either. Anyone ever see that before?

 

I would stop for now Big Jim, I have heard that bench testing an in tank fuel pump is a no no.

I could be wrong, but I suggest we wait for what others say to make sure.
