Fuel pump ?

Can the inlet sock on the bottom of the factory fuel pump be replaced. It seems it only is held in place by a push on circle clip but I don`t think it will come off (the clip)
and still be in any shape to be reinstalled. I bought the pump used as an mild upgrade for my S4 TII.
TIA

The clips they use to secure the filter (sock) are one-time-use. It will more than likely snap in half when you try to pull it off, it's VERY thin aluminum.

I don't think you'll have any problem finding a replacement at an auto parts store or Home Depot.

Although I don`t have another FD pump to compare to it looks like the plastic inside might have gotten cracked. About the middle of the sock there is a circle of plastic that looks cracked on one side.
