fuel pulsation dampner

pleasr help searched but nothing i know it is out there but a little help would b much appericated. How do you depresurize the fuel lines before replacing the fpd.Or can you just uncrew the gas cap and have a towel handy when unhooking?

The "proper" way is to start the car, and then pull the fuel pump fuse. The car will stall and stop.

However, there isn't a lot of fuel in the system. You can simply open the gas cap to release most of the pressure. There will be a little fuel spillage when you disconnect the FPD and FPR lines, but it won't be much. I would recommend pulling the primary and secondary rail together to replace the FPD.

This is a basic question best answered simply by reading the FSM, which you should be doing anyway -- page F-95.
