fuel presure test without the ecu and harness

hi,
i am ready to install the fuel rail back after injector cleaning.
can i run a fuel presure test ( jumpering the F/P and ground ) as the workshop manual sayes but without the ecu connected?
i am questioning this because i remove the ecu prior to install a pfc that i diid not receive yet.
i have both the ecu and the engine harness disconnected.
can i run the leak test?
do i need to give special atention to something?

thanks!!!!

give it a shot, a quick look at the wiring diagram seems to indicate the answer is yes if the front harness is still hooked up with the main relay and fuel pump relay.
