Fuel level sensor issue

I took the hangar out of the car due to the stock connector melting up inside the tank - I'm planning on replacing the stock wiring and drilled a hole in the hangar. Everything was going great until I was about done w/ the 5/8 bit and the hangar assembly swung around a couple times smacking the table.

I have no idea how this is supposed to go and everything seems delicate so I'd rather not break more things - Does anyone know how this goes back together?

Thanks.

Without Forcing anything - It seems like this is how it goes back together - does this seem right?

It seems to move up and down freely and it spans that internal gauge from empty to full.

Partial tank quantities hasn't done it any favours.

Short of the arm being bent in the process and catching the plastic tub, looks ok. A meter across the terminals to see the resistance is good throughout the range would be worthwhile before buttoning it up though. The snubber on the base should be hard up against the leg for most accurate level, if you're willing to tweak the top mount.
