Fuel leak with no battery in the car.
My car has been in the garage forever. I recently finished my wire tuck and after putting a nee CAS connector on it fired right up. I took the battery out and put it back in my DD. I noticed a fuel smell in the garage over the next few weeks. I thouvht t was my roommates harley or a spilled can of solvent. When pulling off the turbos i notice fuel RUNNING from what appears to be the bottom of the LIM. There hasnt been a battery in the car for at least a week at this time. is it possible the leak is pulling fuel out via vacuum? i wouldnt think it could leak without the fuel pump pressurizing the fuel system. also what could be the problem. stuck injector fillig the lim when battery is installed and then slowly leaking out? bad injector orings and the fuel is not really leaking from LIM?
Almost have it torn down enough to get to the injectors, cant believe how much there is before injecgors are accessable.
Saw this FD in sacramento today, motivated me to get something done

I had something like that happen to me. In a hurry to get my fd in proper running order I took my primary injectors out and shipped them to get cleaned and flow tested, left the rail in the car.
Little gas leaked in but I didn't think anything of it. Battery was unbolted. Go back to the car after a week once i got my injectors back. Fuel leaking in the garage all over the floor. Peak under the car fuel is coming out the turbos!
Then it dawned on me. The fuel tank had pressure and it just slowly filled my motor up. I was in such a hurry I didn't even think to vent it. ( I work on cars for a living I really shoulda known better lol)
I would get your injectors cleaned and tested then replace all the seals that go with the injectors. You can buy a kit that comes with all the seals. Then go from there.

The fuel tank pressurizes itself, especially on a warm day. The gas in the tank expands, puts pressure on the system, it finds a way out.
Whenever I work on a car and have the fuel system open I open the gas cap then put it back on just a few threads, not all the way closed. When the fuel in the tank expands the gas can vent out the fuel fill neck instead of pushing liquid fuel through the lines.

So there must be a stuck injector or bad oring between injector and fuel rail?
Should I have injectors cleaned and tested as RX7WEE suggested or just pick up some 1600s? Although if i go 1600 i think i would want to put the fjo low impedience injector driver instead of using resistors and that could get expensive.
Thanks for the help guys, Ill put in a battery and jumo the f/p to pressurize it and see if i can spot the leak.

FPD is leaking, BAD think im going to delete it. Not sure if i want to tap the fuel rail Im thinking of casting a plate that bolts on and then tapping the plate.
