Fuel injector woes

When I did my rebuild over the winter last year, I took the opportunity to do some upgrades to support my future horsepower goals. Of those upgrades, I purchased a set of 1300cc injectors (modified by RC Engineering) to take care of my fuel needs. My rebuild went well, and so did the first 400 or so miles. At around 450 miles, I started to notice that the car was becoming harder to start when hot, sometimes requiring me to hold the gas pedal to the floor when starting. It never left me stranded, but it was annoying to say the least. Then, during a "spirited" run, the car bogged down and seemed to be running on one rotor only. I had initially assumed that I had blown the engine, but further investigation revealed the secondary injector on the rear rotor had stuck wide open. I managed to unstick the injector by tapping the fuel rail, but it eventually stuck again a few weeks later. I eventually pulled the injectors and sent them out to KG parts to be cleaned and flow tested. I spoke with Kieth over the phone, and he explained the the #2 injector came in stuck wide open, had some serious flow issues (flowing about 1/3 less than it should have), and had a crappy spray pattern. He did say that the cleaning process cleared up the issues, but suggested that I look into a top feed injector solution.

I got my injectors back Tuesday, and I installed them this afternoon. I took a quick 5 mile spin in the car, and noticed immediately that it would bog when under boost. I instantly remembered that the test sheet indicated that the injectors max flow was 1410 and 1418 respectively. I thought that maybe I should change the injector values on the PFC from 1300 to 1410, which I did after I got home. After doing so, I drove the car about a block before it exhibited the symptoms of a stuck injector. I limped the car home, and shut it off. Of course, it won't hold fuel pressure now, and it reeks of gas again.

I am done with the 1300cc injectors, but before I pull the trigger and pick up the Rx7store fuel kit, I wanted to see if anyone thinks that another problem could be causing one of the secondary injectors to stick open. I know they have been known to have these issues in the past, but I had thought that the newer sets were more reliable.

I swapped injectors today (front and rear), and had the same results only this time on the front rotor. I guess I'm just going to bite the bullet and get the extreme fuel kit.

Anyone want to buy 1 good 1300cc injector?

I went with 1200s because I had heard of these types of issues...850s/1200s: plenty of fuel

I dont know how much research you have done in the way of fuel systems. Nor do i know what your horse power goals are. But here is another viable fuel solution. I plan on going with this kit when i upgrade.
