Fuel hose size difference... can I clamp it?
Hey guys,
I'm looking at Jeg's, and I would like to use their Pushloc hose in several places for fuel hose. The problem is that their hose is 3/8", but the stock hardlines are all 5/16". So, the question is, how big of a deal is that extra 1/16"? Can I just clamp the hose on really tight and expect it to work, or do I need to keep searching for 5/16" Pushloc hose? Again, this is for fuel hose, so it will be high pressure.

I would not a reccomend you use the 3/8 push loc since it is a very stiff reinforced hose....not saying it wouldn't seal with a tight enough clamp but the whole point of upgrading the hose would be to improve on the current design and materials which you would not be doing. I would recomend you use good high quality fuel injector hose or if you want to use pushloc or braided use goodridges 6mm to -6 AN adapters......do not try and use a 5/16 to AN adapter.
