fuel float installation question

When re-installing the fuel-pump/float assembly, does the float-arm and float go INTO the metal cut-out inside the fuel-tank ?

Or does it go below that cut-out ?

If INSIDE/INTO the cut-out, is there a trick to re-installing ?

I pulled out my fuel-pump/fuel-float assembly to replace the fuel-pump with a Surpra Twin-Turbo one.

TIA,
:-) neil

It's been a while since I did mine Neil. As I recall, there is only one way to reinstall the assembly. You just have to make sure nothing hangs up when you slide it back in. The float has to go inside the tank. It won't float if it isn't in there.
