i was just wondering if the element in the fuel filter was pre oiled or sumthing to stop possiable shrinkage of the element during storage??

I changed my fuel filter took bout 30 mins, got a bit of fuel around the place but was fairly simple realy, but the car started smoking like a bitch for a few days..... then just stopped, and was wondering if the filter could have caused this??
an ideas???

Never heard of this or had it happend to me, but in the real world, who knows?

 

thanks man i havnt herad of it b4 either but who knows, ???? lol at least it has stopped smoking now .
