fuel ecu requirement
fuel ecu requirement
How many and what kind of modifications put on the FD's would require a fuel computer of some sort? im worry because with a certain amount of mods and no fuel computer can result in running too lean and engine detonation. im new to this forum so any help would be much appreciated.

But the rule of thumb is 3 mods (chosse 3 from Intake, IC, DP, & Catback) at STOCK BOOST (10psi) is OK. The stock IC or Intake and Cat cause enough restriction to keep you safe at stock boost. adding a MidPipe, Porting, or More Boost will put into the need more fuel zone.

If I could go back and do it all over again, I'd say upgrade the ECU first or second, then go from there.
I blew my motor with just an intake and a DP - lasted three weeks, then *pop*
And of course...get a boost gauge before anything else
