fuel delivery problem?? engine running super rich

finally got my FD up and running after an reman engine swap. engine is street ported, and i added 1000/1600cc injectors with twin fuel pumps in the tank. also have 4 MSD blaster SS coils with a 6AL running the leadings.

my engine has a lot of trouble starting, i have to feather the throttle a bit to get it started, and when it does start i get a huge black smoke show since the engine is running super rich. i turned off my fuel pumps and was able to get the engine to idle normal so i assumed my fuel pressure was just too high. i was able to turn it down to 25 PSI and it was still running waaaay too rich. at this point i can't get my engine to run (still very rough) without turning my injector duty down to 50% on my PFC. i haven't gotten it tuned yet, nor have i had the data logit to change my PFC to compensate for 1600cc secondaries, but i was able to turn it up to 1500cc. but i can't even get it to idle properly (secondaries aren't even opening up) so i doubt the 100cc difference factor is even causing the issue.

anyone have any ideas?? does it just need to be tuned??

You just need prof. tuning, turning down the fuel pressure is not a fix for improper tuning!

Yeah you answered your own question. Get it tuned.

I wouldn't play with the FPR too much. That is not the proper way to pull fuel.
