fuel cut??

I was at the track tonight and each time I shifted into 3rd It felt like I turned the car off. And stayed this way until I let off the gas and shifted into 4th. I noticed the car was still giving boost while the problem was occuring. The only thing I could come up with was fuel cutoff but I'm running well below dangerous boost levels. On my stock twins I removed the wastegate and prespool pellets giving me no more than 7psi. I removed the pellets until I buy an aftermarket ecu. Still have the stock ecu and stock main cat. Car also has new plugs, wires, fuel filter. Mods include dp,cb, intake, streetport engine. Ideas, questions, comments?

If you are getting no more than 7 PSI on boost, than you are probably feeling the transition hit and no secondary turbo coming online.

The primary turbo needs to build at least 8 PSI to operate the actuators for the secondary turbo.

Move your Knock sensor to the engine hanger bar on the front on the block. You wont get anymore fuel cut.

Interesting, I wasn't aware the knock sensor was involved with fuel cut. What else plays a role in controlling fuel cut?

Boost pressure. If the stock ECU senses that you're overboosting, it will induce a fuel cut. Generally, it's like 11psi or more, as the rpms climb .... but you say you're only running 7? Are you sure? Check your boost gauge ... maybe it's not seated completely on the nipple. Other than that or a problem with the knock sensor, I don't know what else could cause that.
