Front Strut Tower Brace Placement

I have a touring FD and picked up a strut tower brace from an R-1 owner . Any suggestions on loosening up the shock tower bolts?

You should be able to easily loosen the nuts by hand with a socket wrench.

I triied without success. Knocking the bolt with a screwdriver/light hammer after WD 40 is my next attempt.

Two options:
Either find somebody who has an impact wrench or go to home depot/lowe's and buy a 1' to 2', whatever you feel you need, length of iron plumbing pipe (~3$) and slide this over a breaker bar with the socket, leverage is a beautiful thing!

My favorite tool too. If you try this make sure you work very carefully to not damage the nut! Please do not torque down the bolt with this technique!

They really shouldn't be that hard unless they rusted a bit. It shouldn't take much more than a good sized rachet and a little "ummphf". Grab some PB Blaster instead of WD-40, it works much better.
